The outcome of the 2009 AKA AGM held in Melbourne on the 23rd of August is fantastic news for Leopard drivers, both current and future.

Remo Racing is delighted to announce that we have completed all necessary documentation required by the AKA for the Leopard X30 engine homologation and have successfully completed all 5 phases of the homologation process.

We would like to thank the AKA/NKC who have been instrumental in assisting Remo Racing to deliver a bright and clear future for all Leopard competitors. You can remain confident that if you now purchase a Leopard X30 engine you can be guaranteed of its future in the AKA class structure.

  1. The Leopard X30 has been approved for  TaG classes for 2009, effective immediately.
  2. The Leopard X30 has been approved for  Leopard Classes in 2010 (with the exception of State and National  Championship events). The Leopard X30  will carry a 5kg weight penalty and  will be reviewed quarterly throughout 2010 to achieve parity with the Leopard  RL.
  3. In 2011, the Leopard X30 engine will  will be included in Leopard Classes and eligible for  State and National Championship  events.
  4. The Leopard X30 has also been  approved for 2010 for Junior Performance Class. This  new class is a brilliant initiative  of the AKA, and allows the use of 125 TaG engines in  their restricted format, in a high  performance Junior Class on MG AZ Red tyres.
  5. The Leopard X30 has also been  approved for Restricted 125 Classes with a 23.4 restrictor  size. The restrictors will be  available through your State Office or Remo Racing direct.  (Restrictors will be available  approx. 1st September)

At Remo Racing, we promised to be upfront and honest with both the AKA and karters, in our intentions for the future development of the Leopard Class. This final stamp of approval from the AKA represents the culmination of our promise to you.
 
The exact steps we said we were going to take have been put in place, and importantly have been approved by the AKA. You can purchase a Leopard X30 with the total confidence that the engine has a bright future racing on AKA tracks.
 
Introducing the Leopard X30 to Australia has been a huge project for Remo Racing, and we are proud to be able to offer the latest Italian engine technology to the Australian market.
