International Race Dates For Rotax In 2010

press release

RGMMC Establishment as the organisers and promoters of the ROTAX Euro Challenge is pleased to announce the proposed dates (subject to ‘CIK/FIA and World Motorsport Council’ approval) for their 2010 ROTAX International Race Events.

Following the success of last year’s first ever ROTAX Winter Cup in Spain, the shakedown event will take place again, giving drivers and teams a perfect chance to test their latest equipment in order to be better-prepared for the opening round of the European ROTAX series in March.

Next season will be the 7th year RGMMC has organised the ROTAX Euro Challenge on behalf of championship owners BRP-Powertrain, as manufacturers of ROTAX engines, and they have been responsible for its continual success; welcoming competitors from an average of 30 countries to race against some of the best world-wide in their class. In total, 10 countries have hosted what is now considered the benchmark of Rotax racing on a global level, with Euro drivers consistently taking the majority of the podiums at the ROTAX Max Grand Finals events.

An exciting new RGMMC event is planned to take place at the end of October in 2010, more details of which will be provided once everything is confirmed by the relevant authorities. Ideally, this will offer yet another dimension of racing to what has already become recognised as one of the most well-organised and competitive championships today.
