McLaughlin Tests Pro Racer At Winton

press release

Gold Coast based Kiwi karter Scott McLaughlin enjoyed a successful first test behind the wheel of the Hyper PRO Racer at Winton Motor Raceway last Friday. McLaughlin completed more than thirty laps driving the exciting and unique Yamaha-powered machine in both dry and wet conditions.

Sixteen-year-old McLaughlin, winner of numerous sprint karting titles and New Zealand’s representative at last year’s Rotax World Junior Championship, thoroughly enjoyed himself and drove with great maturity and plenty of speed to finish the day just under 0.5s slower than regular test driver and designer / constructor, Dean Crooke.
