Sera & Hart At Euro Challenge Final

David Sera finished 25th in the 4th and final round of the Euro Rotax Challenge at Salbris, France, over the weekend.

Driving the Australian Arrow chassis (and using front brakes for the first time), Sera topped the time sheets in the opening practice session but had a problem and dropped to 18th in the qualifying session. Kiwi Josh Hart (Intrepid) was fastest in the 59 strong field.

Deadly suffered a DNF in his first qualifying heat (taken out in a crash at the second corner) which put him on the back foot for the rest of the event. This was followed by an 8th and 21st placing him 38th in the rankings and forcing him into the second-chance race, where he grabbed 3rd and a transfer to the pre-final. Meanwhile, Hart carded two wins and a third to be second overall.

Dave charged in the pre-final, carving up the opposition from the back of the grid to take 9th. Unfortunately he was not able to reproduce the lap times in the final after again being crashed into early in the race, dropping to 25th. The Senior MAX final was won by Joseph Reilly.
