Lowndes Pops Up As Karter's 'Undercover Coach'

press release

Jackson Freer (Midget #7) from Southern Go Kart Club in Adelaide was the lucky junior karter chosen by the Disney Channel to feature on their show “Sports Dreams” (or so he thought) as published on KartSportNews on June 5.

Jackson and his family loaded up the kart trailer and travelled to Sydney for filming . Little did Jackson know that a surprise was waiting for him there.  An hour into filming, Craig Lowndes turned up at the house in the Vodaphone Falcon! The filming actually turned out to be for “Undercover Coach”.  This show brings a young sportsperson together with their idol who gives them some sporting tips.

Craig and Jackson spent the day at Eastern Creek Raceway filming the show, with Craig passing on some of his knowledge to Jackson. In the afternoon they went to the kart track for a race. 10 other young karters joined in the racing for the filming of the race scene.

Jackson and his family would like to thank -

  • Dan, Mark and the rest of the crew from The Glorious Picture Company for a fantastic day
  • All the parents and kids that came out to the kart track to help film the race scene
  • And Craig Lowndes for being such a great role model and making Jackson’s dreams come true

The show will air on Disney Channel in October or November.
