AKA Statement: Ryan Luke

Queensland karter Ryan Luke suffered a serious head injury when he hit a wall towards the end of the Rookie class final at Oran Park's NSW State Championships yesterday.

The AKA has published the following statement on the karting.net.au website:

 

STATEMENT FROM THE AUSTRALIAN KARTING ASSOCIATION REGARDING RYAN LUKE

Brisbane driver Ryan Luke was involved in an incident during the final of the Rookies class in the New South Wales State Karting Championships at the Oran Park Raceway yesterday.

Luke was transported from the circuit via air ambulance to hospital in a stable condition. As of Monday morning he remains in a stable condition and the medical staff have advised that he is making positive progress.

Further updates on Luke’s condition will be provided and posted to here on karting.net.au as they come to hand

The Australian Karting Association would like to thank the karting community for their support for the Luke family.
