Scottish KZ125 Champion Heads For Horsepower Heaven

Scottish KZ125 champion Daniel Borton (right) is planning to compete at the upcoming Horsepower Heaven event in Melbourme.

The 18-year old, who is also a British Open 125 Champion, will compete in the KZ2 gearbox class with the Definitive Racing team aboard BRM chassis.

"BRM Racing has always invested in young up and coming karters just like Nigel Moore, who was the youngest driver to compete in the LeMans 24 hour race" Definitive's Steve Pettaras informed KartSportNews.

British BRM dealer and head mechanic Rob Dood will return to Australia for this meeting. The last time Dood visited Australia was for the NSW State Titles in 2007 where he helped Dominic Albanese win a blue plate.

BRM boss Gianpietro Mascialino is also set to make the trip from Italy.

* Pettaras will carry a range of spare parts for TMK9 engines at Horsepower Heaven.
