American Series Links With WSK

The North-American Championship Karting International (CKI) has announced an association with the European based WSK Promotions organisation for 2010.

WSK (Winning Series Karting) is a moden-day karting success story, promoting and running a very successful European based championship for CIK classes. This style of racing is now set to grow in the USA market under CKI with the creation of the WSK North American Series.

"As part of this new partnership with the WSK, all of the events on the 2010 CKI schedule will be promoted and operated by Championship Karting International, sanctioned by the World Karting Association, under the WSK banner" WSK announced in a statement. 

“Continual growth of the International categories in this country, along with support for the traditional American classes, drove us to bring in more competitive elements of our already successful program” series director Kevin Williams said.

The new association will see a pathway for European drivers to race in the USA, and for American karters to expand their racing internationally.

A six-event national program will offer both international and domestic categories in 2010. The full schedule will be announced in the near future.
