Gold Kart Get Serious For 2010

Gold Kart is set to 'get serious' in 2010 with both the Italian factory and the Australian importer set to build race teams to compete at the top level of karting.

Homebush Karts is the exclusive importer of Goldkart in Australia and Homebush's Vic Roy informed KartSportNews that he intends building a local race team. “We are looking for drivers that are capable of winning at the highest level who also want to progress their racing career” he said. “The quality of the karts is the best that I have seen and test results indicate that they are quick. Very quick.”

Righetti Ridolfi (Goldkart) Italy is investing heavily for its return to international competition next year. The international team will compete at all the CIK-FIA competitions: European, World Cup and World Championships in KZ1, KZ2 and KF.

Claudio Mack (pic above ) recently used the Goldkart Viper and won the prestigious Open Masters at the Circuito Internazionale Di Sarno. Giampaolo Righetti from Goldkart is committing ten percent of the company’s total revenue to the international race programme. “We have just purchased a large truck”, he said “and have started the process of finding 4 or 5 drivers, a team of mechanics, a technical director, a sporting director and a telemetry expert. No names for now: We are talking to several drivers but we have already reached an agreement with a top sports director and an equally great telemetry expert”.

“The only thing that never makes a mistake is telemetry. And the drivers will have to listen to what the telemetry has to say. I would like to do KF3 with a young driver who can grow” added Righetti.

Righetti Ridolfi is a world leader in the production of kart accessories. For more information contact Vic Roy (02) 97645565
