Maranello Expanding, Not Closing

Rumours in Europe suggesting that Maranello Kart are about to shut shop appear wide of the mark, the company forced to issue a media statement to counteract pitlane gossip.

"The company Maranello Kart has no plans to close its doors" the statment read, indicating that they are, in fact, developing two major new projects.

The first is the release of KF and KZ Maranello engines in December of this year.

The second is regarding the Racing Department. "With the result of the company producing the Maranello Engines, we have had to modify the structure and organization of the company. The Racing Team will be moving to a another location, not far from the main factory. The Racing Team, which will be known as Maranello Kart Ltd, will be led by our team manager Euan Jeffery and the usual staff".

The reconfigured team is working on selecting new drivers for 2010.
