Full Grid For Australian TAG125 Endurance Titles

press release

For the first time in the history of the event there will be a full grid lining up to see who will take home the No 1 Australian ranking over the weekend 7/8 November.

30 Teams - local, metro and interstate, will front the starter at the highly regarded Raleigh Raceway to see who can best handle the 1050m for 275laps and approx 4 hours of tough hard racing.

Defending Light champions Wild Bunch Racing with Morandini & Pascal will certainly have their hands full fending off regular rival and past champions of TWR Wall & Timmins, and June's tearaway winners in the Rotax event of Aurora 1 with Brookes/Waye/Auld looking to do the double.

The Callaghan/Clarke pairing will be ones to keep an eye on as if they get it “right” will be there. Last years Heavy div winners stepping up to lights will see no defending champ, so a new champion will be crowned. Affordable Pallets with a new driver line up but with a very experience pit crew will be a unknown factor but will be a threat as their strategies are usually spot on. Past winners Abrahamson/McDonald will surely feature in the running and a re serious contenders.

Some new team combinations will also try and make their presence felt. Local pairing of O’heir/Piggott will be looking to use their youth and local knowledge to gain the advantage. Adam Graham will make his presence felt and also Shae Davies will be tyring his luck in the endurance format.

In total 13 new teams will be testing their skills at endurance racing for the first time so their form in this format is unknown and there could be a dark horse lurking amongst this number.

Friday will see free practice. Saturday will move into formal practice and qualifying and the race on the Sunday.
