Kiwis Launch KZ2 & KF3 Pro Series

press release

Formula S KartSport Club will celebrate the tenth year of its existence with the biggest, best and most professional ever series in 2010. Re-branded Pro-Kart, the rounds kick off what is shaping up as a major International meeting in Wellington at the CIK event Feb 12/14 February. The recent sojourn by four top NZ Formula S boys to the Horsepower Heaven meet in Melbourne has driven Australian and European interest in the series, but it's the stack of prizes that are causing the biggest stir.

Overall six heavily subsidised trips to Europe are on offer to compete in a factory team at the Winter Cup or a round of the WSK series. On top of that a random draw will see a KF3 and a KZ2 engine given away.

President Steve Brown is fizzing "the interest was immense before we released the prize package and now it is just electric" adding "we are being approached daily with more exciting give-aways and on top of all this of course is the massive television coverage we have underway that will ensure this event continues its race to being one of the Premier Series in Australasia."

Fields for KZ2 and KF3 are expected to be very strong and the 125-S class continues to look to get numbers as well. The Club has a very loyal following and its members are raising funds now that may well see the TV coverage go to a full hour for each round. Fund-raising has been made even easier this year with a new version of the famous Formula S Raffle that not only guarantees series sponsorship exposure but now has an incredible prize pool of travel, resort accommodation and XT phone.

Negotiations are underway with a number of interested parties for naming rights to the series which is estimated to deliver six figure value for an extremely modest investment. In the meantime the Pro Kart "Are You Man Enough?" challenge is proving just the ticket for our next group of world leading karters.
