Karts Won At Toowoomba's Hot Race Day

Toowoomba & Lockyer Valley Kart club hosted its final competition for 2009 on Sunday 22nd at Greer Park Raceway. We had 110 competitors in 13 classes, providing a great day’s racing, in spite of the extremely hot day. On top of that, we had three power outages in the area, which made conditions in the canteen in particular, and the control tower unbearable. As a result, the stewards abandoned the day’s racing before the commencement of the final heats, much to everyone’s relief.

First home in the Toowoomba Car Doctors TAG 125 class was Luke Baldry, who put on a great drive to hold out Jason Dorn.

Senior Evo Light proved to be an all girl affair, with Alexandra Whitley having another successful day in seniors in winning all three heats, from Alysha Pedley who was runner up in all heats.

The highlight of the day was the draw for two new karts, one junior, and one senior. Alex Milburn won the Junior kart, while the senior kart was taken home by Jason Klein. Two very happy guys.
