Motorsport Camp & F/Ford Test For Junior Superkart Winner

A new series announced by the Victorian Superkart Club is sure to lure a number of junior sprint kartrers.

The club will next year be running the AMSF Junior Rotax Championship. First prize will be a fully funded trip to participate in the 2011 Motorsport Camp at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra, plus a Formula Ford test drive as part of the CAMS Rising Star program.

The Championship will be be run in conjunction with the 2010 Vic Club series at the Phillip Island Grand Prix circuit over four rounds next year: February 13, May 16, July 18 and November 13.

Entrants must be aged between 12 and 16 years of age, reside in Victoria, have their own Rotax Junior kart and have not previously held a CAMS licence.

These prizes are supplied by generous partners, THE AUSTRALIAN MOTORSPORT FOUNDATION and MINDA Motorsport. The prize is valued at over $3,500.

"CAMS and the Victorian Superkart Club believe this is the fast track into a rewarding motorsport career using a cost effective and CAMS approved racing category" the VSKC said in a statement.
