Race Car Test Drive For Jnr Top Gun

Oakleigh Go Kart Club has announced two major sponsorships for this year’s Junior Top Gun events. JRD (Junior Racing Development) will offer the winner of the JMAX feature class a test drive in one of their Formula Vees, while Arrow & DP Karts will once again give away a new chassis.

Junior Top Guns is held over two Friday night events on January 15 and 22.

Courtesy of JRD (www.juniorracing.com.au), the Jnr Rotax driver who accumulates the greatest number of points in the pre-finals and finals across both rounds will win a test drive in a Formula Vee racing car at Winton Motor Raceway. The test will consist of approximately 30 laps around Winton’s challenging 3 km circuit and represents a fantastic opportunity for a young karter to experience an open wheel race car.

For the third year in a row, Arrow Karts, DP Karts and the Oakleigh Go Kart Club will give away a brand new Arrow chassis to a lucky karter. Determined by random draw, the lucky winner must have competed in both rounds to be eligible (www.arrowkarts.com & www.dpkarts.com.au)

"It is going to be a fantastic lead in to the Vic Open for all Juniors" the club's Jim Lane informed KartSportNews. "It’s always a great atmosphere under lights, and we will do our best to turn on the warm nights and clear skies."

In addition to the major prizes, OGKRC will be paying cash down to 5th place for each class!

JRD (www.juniorracing.com.au) was established with the motivation of developing young and upcoming drivers and equipping them with the necessary skills required to enable them to be immediately competitive in the higher pressure categories they will experience as they progress in their careers.
