NSW Speedway Karts Celebrate 20 Years

press release

Another milestone will be reached this year by the NSWSKC as we celebrate 20 wonderful years of speedway karting.

The club is brimming with excitement on the eve of the 2010 season as it prepares for one of the biggest seasons to date culminating at years end with our annual presentation evening which will also incorporate a reunion of past members from  the previous 20 years.

The club has stood the test of time and this tradition will continue this year as we move through the year with a number of new concepts for the members and it is hoped that it will bring fun and laughter to our season.

The season kicks off on February 14th with our Registration / practice day.  On this day we will be conducting some driver development for our midget drivers , we will have  practice for all our classes , we will be conducting OLT’s for our new drivers , and there will be an opportunity for some have-a –goes by appointment for people thinking of getting into our great sport .

Along with this day the season consists of
8 Championship rounds
Our 6th annual Celebration Day
The running of the NSW Titles on the June long weekend
And our second Darley Day meeting
And mixed into the season there is 3 rain date / practice days.
We will have a mid year social event
And Our Presentation evening in December.

As the year progresses we will release more information as each event draws closer but there is already a lot of anticipation and plenty of talk around about the plans for this season .

One of the most exciting things to be put in place is the introduction of the NSW Speedway Kart Premier league which for the first time will see teams competing at competition rounds through out the season gaining points to become the clubs first premier team.

This is a great concept and again shows the foresight and innovation the NSWSKC has for the forward progression of speedway karting which has been at the forefront of the club for 20years.

As you can see we have a very full calendar this year and the whole committee is dedicated to producing the best season possible looking forward to the challenge ahead.
