'King fo Sydney' Over 40s Js On again

The "King of Sydney" series for Over 40 J drivers will be on again in 2010 with the first round at Newcastle on the March 21.

The final calendar for the series will be released shortly. North Shore Kart Club, Combined Districts Kart Club & Newcastle Kart Club will give away a set of tyres at each round, and Yamaha, Pam Pixs and Parramatta Kart Warehouse have sponsored the series so far.

This years Over 40 J racing has already kicked off, running at the Brian Farley Memorial at Eastern Creek. Brian Sciberras, the current King of Sydney, took out the final. He was chasing Iain Thornton all weekend and finally got it right for the final. Niven Riches improved through weekend to take out third.

"I am expecting approximately 15 drivers from Sydney to make the trek up the freeway for Round 1 of the series" said series organiser Iain Thornton. "Scotty Morrison, the local Newcastle racer, will be making his first appearance in Over 40 Js. It would be great to see other members from Newcastle, Manning Valley & Port Macquarie turning up to race the best from Sydney. It should be a great year of close racing."
