Nothing much separated the Juniors, although the majority of entries were rookies to international racing and for many, their introduction to Junior Max as well. It’s definitely shaping-up to be an extremely close competition in 2010 at the Rotax Euro Challenge.

The challenging 1588m circuit of Campillos has now hosted both Rotax Winter Cups since the event began 2 years ago, but had never experienced the harsh weather conditions that they were faced with last weekend. However, the race program went ahead and was actually completed on time thanks to the huge effort of track owner Mr. Reuvers and his dedicated staff working tirelessly with the organisers.

Polesitter from Friday’s qualifying Steve White was feeling quietly confident on his home track at Campillos, but had to fight for his 3rd place on the podium. He admitted in the press conference that he’d never driven one lap on the circuit in such wet conditions before seeing the torrential rain was not normal for this part of Spain.
