Two Days Of Punishment

Who said karters aren’t tough?

You would have thought that competing in the high-speed KZ2 category for the day - with its 45HP engine, six speed gearbox, long races and open tyres - would be enough physical punishment for one weekend. But it didn't stop Victorian karter Troy Woolston from sweating it out in a triathlon the following day.

After racing at Geelong's Horsepower Heaven round last Saturday, Woolston then spent Sunday competing in the BRW Triathlon.

When asked which was the hardest, Troy said that the Triathlon was definitely harder from a cardio perspective, but KZ2 requires a lot more strength.

"It’s a good way to get in shape for round 1 of CIK at Newcastle next week" he smiled.
