Arrow Lead The Way In The UK

press release

Young British Mini Max racer, Luke Hughes started his 2010 racing season in impressive fashion leading the Championships at both Kimbolton and Glan Y Gors Park.

Hughes incurred terrible luck in the first round of Kimbolton after an engine failure and a punctured tire put the promising Arrow driver at the back of the grid for the Final. In a dominant performance Hughes worked his way through the field, setting consistent lap times 5 tenths quicker than any other Kart to finish in second position.

It was a similar story at Glan Y Gors Park in North Wales, where weather conditions made it a difficult decision for all pit crews. After qualifying on the 3rd row for the final Hughes took a gamble opting to run slicks and almost reaped the ultimate reward, with a flawless performance earning him a 2nd placed finished over 11
seconds ahead of the next placed Kart.

Returning to Kimbolton for round 2, Hughes was determined to make amends for his opening round misfortunes, convincingly winning both heat races to start the Final from pole. The young British racer drove his Arrow away from the pack to take an impressive victory finishing almost 4 seconds clear of the second placed finisher.

Arrow Racing Karts would like to wish Luke the best of luck for his racing and congratulate all who have contributed to the fantastic results achieved in the United Kingdom in recent times.
