Big Teams Battle for WSK Euro Cup

press release

The WSK Euro Series is getting ready for the final run to the EuroCup. The challenge between the international karting teams shows Kosmic, Intrepid, Energy and Tony Kart as provisional leaders in the 5 WSK classes.

The EuroCup finishing post is drawing closer. Once the first half of the championship has gone by, the WSK Euro Series rankings are restless. At the coming round in Genk, Belgium and the concluding one in Sarno, Italy, the international karting will crown with a final sprint the 2010 first Drivers and EuroCup champions.

In Super KF, Kosmic shoots to the top with Convers. Determined to get the Super KF, Kosmic Racing Department is pursuing a double win both with the drivers Armand Convers (leader in Drivers ranking) and Ben Cooper. As for the EuroCup in Zuera, the team Kosmic has been successful in beating the Tony Kart Racing Team that scoring with Marco Ardigò, Gary Catt and Flavio Camponeschi has now only a 13-point gap. A larger gap instead is for Chiesa Corse at the third place.

Intrepid in KZ1 along with Energy in KZ2 dominates. The Zuera’s circuit confirmed Intrepid Driver Program more and more competitive at the lead of KZ1. Both, Bas Lammers and Jeremy Iglesias concurred to increase the lead Intrepid has now over CRG Spa that has only scored with Jonathan Thonon. Below, Sodi Racing Team with Anthony Abbasse is in third position and only one point above Tony Kart Racing Team.

In KZ2 Energy Corse’s leadership gets stronger ever more and thanks to the successful Paolo De Conto and the good Joel Johansson stays unbeaten at the top above Joka Kart Team (with Jan Midrla and Daniel Fuchs) and Intrepid Driver Program competing with an opponent to be feared such as Beitske Visser.

KF2 is under the reign of Tony Kart. Tony Kart Racing Team and Junior Team are contending for the victory in EuroCup. Counting on the Championship leader Ignazio D’Agosto along with Yu Kanamaru, the Italian team is in the lead. The English Junior Team however, being as pugnacious in Zuera with Guilherme Silva and Luke Varley may still launch a deciding attack. Not to forget Birel Motorsport that scoring well thanks to Gerard Berrabeig and Karol Basz follows closely in third position.

Intrepid holds on to the lead in KF3. The challenge between Intrepid Driver Program and CRG Spa well reflects the one between the relative drivers Alex Albon (scoring along with Peter Hoevenaars) and Max Verstappen. The latter getting a perfect score in Zuera allowed CRG to narrow the gap from the leading team. Morsicani Racing is third scoring with Robert Visiou and Damiano Fioravanti.
