Night Lights Ready At Mildura

A state-of-the-art track lighting system will be used for the Saturday night racing component of the North West Victorian Titles (incorporating C & D Grade Series) at Mildura on the Queen's Birthday long weekend, June 12-13.

"In line with the club’s ongoing commitment to improving the facilities available to members and visitors, a state of the art lighting system has been installed" the club informed KartSportNews. The first meeting under lights was held in January this year.

Mildura's 800 meter layout is based upon the original circuit with an extension. The race surface is 8 metres wide throughout the lap and the the facility meets all the current requirements regarding safety, fencing, access, spectator barriers and speed traps.

The track is designed to be a fast flowing circuit with sufficient camber and curves to facilitate numerous passing opportunities, making it enjoyable for drivers and spectators alike. Grassed spectator mounds are available to compliment the extensive spectator viewing opportunities on all sides of the track.
