CRG and Maxter Win Asia-Pacific KF2 Title

The young Japanese driver Kiyoto Fujinami (CRG Japan) deservedly won the KF2 final of the Asia-Pacific Championship at Suzuka, confirming once more the great and performing qualities of the CRG chassis and of the Maxter engine.
It was an important and gripping win for the CRG Japan team, conquered in awful weather conditions and achieved right in the final phase of the event, after some troubles at the beginning of the race which pushed the CRG driver Fujinami back to the 11th position after the qualifying heats.
However, Fujinami did not lose heart and in the pre-final he was able to achieve a terrific recovery, with an astounding series of fast laps which allowed him to win the race right at the last lap.
Then, in the final, Fujinami took the lead since the very beginning finding no match to his pace: he was even able to widen the gap between himself and his competitors, arriving at the chequered flag with an eleven second lead over the runner-up. Thanks to this lead he managed to neutralize the effects of the 8 second penalty he got at the start.
Fujinami crossed the finishing line before the Italian driver Ignazio D’Agosto, while the third place was achieved by the new promise of International karting: the quick Danish driver Michelle Gatting of the CRG Junior team who completed and enriched the whole performance of the CRG-Maxter Team. The Danish girl, on this occasion too, was rather performing and was always with the top drivers: she was fourth after the qualifying heats, fourth in the pre-final and then excellent third in the final after a good recovery from the 14th place where she was pushed after an agitated start.
About the other CRG drivers, the Thai driver Kittitat Vongprai (Global Team) arrived 11th, while the other driver of CRG Japan, Kento Fujimoto, at the start was fifth but then was obliged to retire, as well as Kazumi Osada of the Hirano Team.
In Super KF and KF1 World Cup, the English driver Oliver Rowland of the Chiesa Corse Team (Zanardi) did not let the win slip through his fingers. He won preceding the Japanese Shota Kiyohara (Tony Kart), while Rowland’s teammate, the Dutch Nyck De Vries, gained the third place. Among the protagonists of the World Cup we must include the Japanese Hironobu Yasuda of CRG Japan, fourth in the final after an outstanding recovery from the last position due to a retire in the pre-final.
