Above: The Junior MAX Light final was a pressure race for Jonathan Venter. The Nova Top Gun driver built a solid lead early in the race. Pierce Lehane and Michael Stewart clawed the gap back over the 24 laps, but never got quite close enough to make a move.

With threatening skies and dampish track, pre-final winner Frank Fella elected to start the final on wets, and bolted away in the opening laps. However, the track dried allowing the slick-shod majority of the field to quicky close in.
