'Speedy' Fuoco Joins CRG-Maxter

press release

CRG continues in its talent-scouting policy. After launching drivers such as Max Verstappen – recent winner of the WSK Euro Series in KF3 - in the international karting, CRG is now proud to announce that an agreement has been reached with another worthy and talented driver: Antonio Fuoco, better known with his nickname ‘Speedy’.

Antonio Fuoco (in the picture above with Giancarlo Tinini, Chairman of CRG SpA), one of the best young talents of the Italian karting, has just joined the CRG-Maxter Official Team to take part in the international programme of the WSK World Series with its three meetings in Portugal (3rd July), USA (1st August) and Egypt (31st October), and the three meetings of the WSK Master, due to start next 29th August in Siena.

Antonio ‘Speedy’ Fuoco, a 14-year-old guy from Cariati (Cosenza – Calabria), despite his young age has already got an outstanding sports resume. He began when he was only 7 in the Regional Championship of his region (Calabria – Southern Italy), where he won the championships in two categories: 50 in 2006 and 2007, 60 in 2008. In 2007 he also won the 60 Mini Euro Trophy. After joining the KF3 category, in 2009 he won the Trofeo delle Industrie in Pomposa and arrived in third in the Open Master Championship.

This year ‘Speedy’ was the runner-up in the recent CIK-FIA selection of the KF3 European Championship in Wackersdorf (Germany) and, at the moment, he is among the top drivers of the Italian Championship Open Masters (he is second in the general ranking after the first three events, with successes in the races of Triscina and Muro Leccese).

The time for his début with the official colours of CRG has already come: this week ‘Speedy’ is taking part in the fourth event of the Italian Championship Open Masters scheduled from 11th to 13th June on the International Circuit Napoli in Sarno.
