steven scobleWest Australian Steven Scoble (right) is the first Australian confirmed for the 2010 Rotax MAX Challenge World Final at La Conca, Italy, later this year.

After some close racing throughout WA Series, the Rotax Light winner could have been any of the front runners and a bad day for any of the top 3 would have seen a different result.

Steven not only had a great overall season but a winning final round finishing in the top 2 for all four heats.

Steven is now busily preparing for his trip and is eager to see who his team mates will be come September.

Other winners on the day include:

Dean Whittome - Series Winner Junior Rotax
Duncan Foster - Series Winner Rotax Heavy
Dean Whittome - Rotax Engine Winner
Dean Whittome - MOJO Tyres Winner

“I sort of have had a great day” said Dean (pictured left). “I won the day, won the series, won the engine and won the tyres! Doesn’t get much better than that!”

Graeme Whittome, Dean’s father, acknowledged the great sponsorship from IKD and Rotax Australia.

“This has been a great series and it is only with the assistance of the big players in this sport that prizes such as these can be offered – sincere thanks to IKD and Rotax Australia. We believe that the Junior Rotax class is fantastic and very happy to support this and the series.”

The WA Coordinator Dianne Scoble had this to say about the success of the Rotax Series in WA; “This has been a major step forward in karting in WA and all four clubs, Tiger, Bunbury, Hurricane and Midwest are most appreciative of the level of sponsorship, opportunity and assistance IKD have given to our inaugural Super4Series (WA).”
