Former National Champions Richie McLeod and Barclay Holden are returning to the driver's seat for the Sparco Rotax Nationals at Willowbank next month.

The immensely experienced duo will join current star Brendan Nelson aboard Team RacePrep Karting Australia team karts. Holden and McLeod will both race in Rotax Light, while Nelson will suit up in the Heavy class.

"Recruitment plays a big part of any team’s success and I have been fortunate to be able to secure these drivers" Watts said.

"I am really looking forward to this competition as it reunites myself with Richie and Barclay. They have driven extensively for me in the past.

"I am also especially looking forward to Brendan joining us as I feel he is a real star of the future. It will be an invaluable experience for Brendan, as he will be in a position to absorb some of the wealth of knowledge these
drivers have been able to accumulate from their many years experience in the sport."

richie mcleodRichie (kneeling, right) has some outstanding results from the past, including State, National and International championships. He currently lives in Dubai where he owns his own Karting Team. He has been a factory driver for Intrepid, PCR and a development driver for Azzurro, BIESSE and Fox engines.

Watts has also secured the services former DD2 World Champion Ben George from R360.

"I am quietly confident of the team being very successful at this championship" Watts added. "We have been working tirelessly preparing our engines and karts. Ben has been involved in our engine testing and carby work and will be part of our pit crew for the championship.

"The engines we will be running have been prepared by Graham Armstrong from Graham Armstrong Engines. This combination of drivers, technicians and equipment, with the added ability to communicate what is happening on the
track back to the pits will ensure that our team will perform to it's absolute ability."
