Suter & Henry-Smith Star in Saturday Night Series

Youngster Ryan Suter and Rod Henry-Smith emerged as the most successful drivers to come out of the latest round of the 2010 Saturday Night Kart Series at Wollongong City Raceway, near Kembla Grange on the South Coast of NSW, late last month.

Suter won the final in the Junior National class ahead of Jonathon Gauci and Jordan Speechley and also finished second in the Junior Performance class behind Jack Bennett and in third was Luke Oppio, while Henry-Smith achieved a similar feat by taking out the winning spoils in the TAG 100 class after he had defeated Michael Bartley and Matthew Donnell and then ran second behind Mark Tate in the Clubman Heavy class final and in third place on the podium was Brett Easi.

While Suter and Henry-Smith turned out to be the best amongst the 100 plus competitors, other winners to emerge from the round included Jacque Isarin (Midgets) ahead of Benito Montalbano and Kade Morris, Thomas Miotto (Rookies) who downed Cody Gillis and Darian Ward, Ken Henry-Smith (Junior Clubman) ahead of Coire Donnelly and Reanna Tate, John Gill (TAG Over 50s), Brett Bamfield (TAG Red Super Heavy) who defeated Shane Tate and Darin Gillis, Tony Bregonje (TAG Red Light) ahead of Chad Horsley and Aaron Cogger, Corey Emr (Senior National) who defeated Steve Neill and Craig Cosis, Michael Johnston (TAG Red Heavy) ahead of Craig Deans and Dean Leek, Rohan Collibee (Clubman Light) who defeated Nick Kellie and Joe Ingegneri and Dean Starling (Open Performance) who finished ahead of Laurence Katsidis and Daniel Orsini.          

The next round Saturday Night Kart Series at Wollongong City Raceway is going to be fought out on Saturday, August 28.
