Freem On Top Of The World

press release

Formula One prospect Nyck de Vries scored a sensational, last-gasp victory to win the CIK-FIA World karting Championship at Zuera, Spain last Sunday (19 September). The Freem-backed flying Dutchman pulled off a classic, late-braking manoeuvre to pip the 2009 European KF2 Champion, Jordan Chamberlain – who also chooses Freem - in the dying moments of the race.

Freem-UK’s Managing Director Jonathan Walker said, “This is another fantastic result for Nyck and Jordan. It shows that exceptional drivers choose exceptional racewear. Together, they both have to perform under pressure and in the toughest conditions. I would like to congratulate the pair of them.”

De Vries and Chamberlain’s super 1-2 finish for Freem is the latest in a long list of success for the Italian brand. In the Euro Max Challenge, Freem UK-backed Ed Brand became the senior vice-Champion, whilst junior star Jack Barlow finished 3rd overall in his rookie season. In the British Super 1 MSA Championship, the top four Super KF drivers; Mark Litchfield, Jonathan Walker, Elliot Burton and James Godbehere all wore stylish Freem racesuits.

Visitors to October’s (30/31) KartMania show at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry will be able to see the complete range; including racesuits, rib protectors, boots, gloves and paddock wear – and take advantage of special show deals.

Jonathan says, “We’re sharing a stand with the Helmet Company and it’s a great opportunity to see for yourself the unrivalled quality and construction of Freem products and get a special discount. We’d love to see you there.”
