Golden Power to Bendigo This Weekend

AKA press release

The Bendigo Kart Club will host the penultimate round of the 2010 Golden Power Series this weekend with in excess of 220 entries expected to be received for the event.

This weekend’s event is a highlight for the Victorian club with many members having spent the last few months preparing the venue for this weekend’s racing.

“With in excess of 220 drivers expected to be racing this weekend it will be our biggest race meeting of the year and we’re really looking forward to putting on a good show for everyone who will be in attendance,” said Bendigo Kart Club’s John Davies.

“Over the past few months club members have been working hard in an effort to make sure everything is in readiness. We’ve repaired some parts of the track, replaced some kerbing and levelled parts of the circuit up to make for better racing.

“We will have numerous visitors from all across the state, who will be aiming to take home the trophies but I’m sure out local drivers will have something to say about that.”

Some of the local competitors that are expected to figure prominently in this weekend’s action include Tyler Cramer, who will be competing in the Clubman Light category, TaG Restricted driver Tyler Cramer and third-generation racer Corey Arnett.

Racing will be held on both Saturday and Sunday.

The Bendigo Kart Club is located on Gold Associates road (off Morong Road), turn right 800 metres past the Schweppes centre.
