Canadian Girl Set For Supernats

press release

As the snow begins to fall in Western Canada, female pilot Emily Maddison, is ready to escape the cold weather and is set to travel to “Sin City” to compete in the upcoming SuperKarts! USA (SKUSA) SuperNationals. Taking place November 17th – 21st at the RIO All-Suites Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, Maddison will look to hit the jackpot and stand atop the podium in a stout TaG Junior category.

“I competed in the SuperNationals last year and experienced how competitive it really is,” expressed Maddison. “There were drivers from all over the world and it was really tough. I am more prepared this year than previous seasons as I have done a lot of racing and testing in the past months. I feel comfortable heading to Vegas and I am confident that I can be the highest placing female in the TaG Junior class.”

Maddison will compete with the Tony Kart West squad under the tuning and driver coaching guidance of Jeff Osborne. The up and coming female pilot and Osborne have worked together on occasion in 2010 and seem to have a natural bond on what is needed to ensure their package is at the front of the pack.

Maddison continued, “I am really looking forward to this year’s race. One of my many goals is to make the main event and work with my tuner to get the best finish possible.”

Speaking of winning, Maddison has stood on the podium multiple times in 2010 claiming race wins at the Warburg Fall Classic and the first round of the Alberta Rotax Series, both in Rotax Junior. The young Canadian female also competed in the Gatorz Challenge of the Americas as well as the SKUSA Spring and Summer Nationals where she has been consistently in the top five. The Tony Kart driver’s best series of competition this season was the Western Canadian Championships where she scored four podium results and a solid third place position in the overall series point standings.

With her strong results, Maddison was one of eight up and coming karters selected to travel to Bowmanville, Ontario for the second annual Hinchtown.com Karting Award Shootout.
