Teams Primed for Explosive ProKart Australia Finale

press release

The 2010 Powered by Honda ProKart Australia National, New South Wales and Queensland Endurance Kart Championships will all come to an end this Saturday (November 13) at the Raleigh International Raceway, near Coffs Harbour on the North Coast of NSW, with the running of the ‘Raleigh 6 Hour’.

With all three of the respective championships still up for grabs amongst a number of teams, the ‘Raleigh 6 Hour’ is certainly going to be an exciting and fast paced event from start to finish around one of the most favoured circuits on the ProKart Australia calendar.

After they have dominated the National Championship so far this year, the # 1 Jets Motorsport team are aiming to complete a clean sweep of all rounds and most importantly wrap up the point standings honours at the ‘Raleigh 6 Hour’. Although they are favourites, the # 1 Jets Motorsport team do not have the point standings battle in the bag and both the # 661 PDS Grand Prix and # 2 SCR remain in contention.

In the NSW Championship battle the # 1 Jets Motorsport outfit head the leader board going into the final round. Despite having a pretty solid grasp on the point standing leads, a bad run from them could see either # 777 Horsepower Racing and # 21 Walkos Racing steal their thunder if they are able to score podium finishes at the completion of the ‘Raleigh 6 Hour’.

It has been one of the strongest years to date for the # 661 PDS Grand Prix team. They currently lead the Queensland Championship and sit second in the National Championship and a victory in the ‘Raleigh 6 Hour’ could possibly see them take out both. The # 661 PDS Grand Prix team are aiming for a solid result to round out an impressive year. They currently lead the Queensland Championship ahead of the # 50 and # 51 Team 5150R; who both remain in contention.

Although they may be out of championship contention, you cannot discount the likes of # 66 Team Kaos, # 23 Bell Pipes Racing, # 152 Phantom Racing, # 2 BF Racing and # 27 Resi Sales Racing and a host of others when it comes to potential ‘Raleigh 6 Hour’ winners.

There are going to be 34 teams, consisting of between 2 to 3 drivers, that will line up to have a shot at winning the ‘Raleigh 6 Hour’.

Whatever the outcome to this Saturday’s ‘Raleigh 6 Hour’ it’s certainly going to be an exciting spectacle, especially with there being a total of three championships up for grabs.

Practice and qualifying session’s start from 8.20am and the ‘Raleigh 6 Hour’ race itself is set to start at 9.50am and conclude at 3.50pm.

The Raleigh International Raceway is located on the Valery Road, Raleigh, near Coffs Harbour.
