Jets Motorsport Win the Battle and the War

press release

It’s certainly been an amazing year for the # 1 Jets Motorsport team and they completed their sensational year with victory in the ‘Raleigh 6 Hour’ at Raleigh International Raceway, near Coffs Harbour in NSW recently.

The ‘Raleigh 6 Hour’, which was the final rounds of the 2010 Powered by Honda ProKart Australia National, New South Wales and Queensland Endurance Kart Championships, resulted in the # 1 Jets Motorsport team romping to victory ahead of the # 777 Horsepower Racing team in second place and in third place on the podium was the # 82 Team SPR.

The # 777 Horsepower Racing team have been right in the hunt on numerous occasions this year, but were unable to defeat the form team of the year and finished in the runner up spot, while # 82 Team SPR made a return to ProKart Australia competition and got back into the swing of things by finishing on the final step of the podium in what was a great performance.

In what was their fifth success of the year, the # 1 Jets Motorsport team most importantly wrapped up the point standings battle in both the National and NSW Championships, while a fourth place finish in the ‘Raleigh 6 Hour’ by the # 661 PDS Grand Prix was enough for them to seal the Queensland Championship honours.

Outside the top four finishers in the ‘Raleigh 6 Hour’ were the Queensland based # 152 Phantom Racing team who managed to finish fifth in what was their best run of the entire year, while the remainder of the Top 10 was filled by pole sitters # 2 SCR who were unable to turn their qualifying pace into a winning result, former National and NSW Champions # 66 Team Kaos plugged away all race to end up in seventh place, # 10 Spy Racing recorded yet another impressive run, # 21 Walkos Racing, who possibly had a stronger finish if it wasn’t for being held up in the pit lane due to traffic, and the # 23 Bell Pipes Racing team, who were certainly better than what their 10th place finish indicated after a number of unfortunate situations spoiled a better end result.

Qualifying for the ‘Raleigh 6 Hour’ saw the # 2 SCR team clinch pole position by the slimmest of margins after they were able to take the top spot over # 21 Walkos Racing, who had claimed pole positions in the past two rounds of the NSW Championship, by 2/100’s of a second.

The Queensland based newcomers # 224 2 Dadz Racing were judged the best presented team of the ‘Raleigh 6 Hour’.
