'Minikart' Bodywork Guidelines

Did you know that the bodywork and bumper bars on a Minikart get slammed into by a 140kg weighted pendulum to check for crashworthiness?

The CIK-FIA has published a 12 page document that details technical guidelines for bumpers and bodywork on 'minikart' classes, plus various impact and tear-off tests.

Tthe CIK-FIA do not regulate the 'mini kart' categories, but provide the guidelines with the intention of improving safety in those categories.

The guidelines are independent from the CIK-FIA Technical Regulations and can be freely used by ASNs for their national categories.
