All season the club had been building to what they were promoting was going to be the biggest and best presentations award night ever seen in the clubs history, and the executive didn’t let anyone down.

The night started with a DVD presentation highlighting  the season, produced by Cameron Coghlan, and  was very well received and set the standard and tone of the night. Then as club president Wayne Baines opened proceedings with an introductory speech, anticipation started to build as to what might be planned for the evening.

During the dinner break another DVD was played which highlighted film and pictures from right across the 20 years of the clubs history and the former  members in the audience were reliving past races and good times.

A full list of award winners is listed below and with so many worthy recipients receiving their rewards after a long hard season, in the middle of proceedings a special honor was given to Club president Wayne Baines as he was awarded Life membership to a standing ovation.

In a night with so many highlights a very special moment was reached when prior to the 2010 Club Champion being crowned, the previous 19 years worth of champions were on hand to be part of this special event. The champions were introduced to the crowd and a short explanation of their achievement and indeed their special place in club history was explained. To have the previous Champions on hand to celebrate the 20th Champion was a very special moment and one that will be remembered for some time.

Then when all the awards were finally handed out and the night was coming to a close, members, family and friends were contemplating what a great night it was. Then, Wayne Baines at the end of his closing speech uttered  the words “It's time to Kiss this season good bye “ .

The audio ramped up and the curtains opened to reveal the Australian Kiss tribute band , Kissteria.

The whole place erupted as the band played a 9 song set and then came back out for an encore.  During the show not one member left such was the level of the performance and to see mums and dads dancing with their children up next to the stage in front of a live band was just yet another highlight in one of the most prefect nights or events seen by the club.

The event was 12 months in the making and the level of detailed planning form the executive was executed with such precision that this night , this evening , this event will forever be part of club folklore and history and is a befitting tribute to such a great organization as they move into a new era and their 3rd decade of speedway karting .
