The 17-year old recently completed a successful test day at Winton raceway with the factory team.  Matthew impressed the team making large gains each session finishing off with a series of consistent fast lap times. “That’s one giant tick for his first day”, team principal Paul Zsidy said after the final session.

McRae said, “The whole experience was fantastic and the entire team is just so professional.  It took the first two sessions to get used to the car its so different to the Leopard but after the second session I started to feel really comfortable.”   The results were impressive given it was his first time he had driven a race car, the first on a full sized race track, and the first time changing gears.

Matt would like to thank Michael Borland, Paul Zsidy and the entire team for their help and support and he looks forward to developing with the team over the next twelve months.  A new website will be launching soon to help follow his progress at www.mattmcrae.com.au
