Submitting A Chassis for U18 World Championships

Kart manufacturers who wish to participate in the 2011 CIK-FIA 'U18' World Karting Championship must guarantee to the Federation that they can manufacture and supply minimum quantities of identical chassis and components to the drivers, plus have representation at all the championship events and the official test day.

The karts must be strictly identical (without front brakes) of a type homologated by the CIK-FIA in the 2011-2014 period. There must be a minumum of 20 of these chassis available to be marked and supplied by May 12 for random distribution to drivers to commence.

Minimum quantities to be marked:

  • Chassis - 20
  • Rear hub - 60
  • Rear axle - 40
  • Rims for slick tyres - 50 sets
  • Rims for rain tyres - 50 sets
  • Left spindle (stub axle) - 40
  • Right spindle - 40
  • Front stabilizer - 30
  • Rear stabilizer - 30

The manufacturer will need to pay the CIK-FIA 1,180 Euros to be a participating chassis make in the Championship.
