TaG125 Support Class At Ipswich CIK Opener

press release

The TaG 125 class has been chosen by the Ipswich Kart Club as the ‘Support Class’ for the opening round of the 2011 CIK Stars of Karting Series next month (February 26/27).

The Ipswich round will see Light and Heavy drivers compete in the same race but awarded separate trophies for both Light and Heavy divisions.

"The TaG class is shaping up to be one of the biggest categories of racing at Ipswich Kart Club this year," said Ipswich Kart Club Secretary Andrea McKay.

"With an influx of drivers upgrading from the restricted development class you can be sure there will be a good presence and some great racing from this category, it will certainly compliment the regular categories that compete in the CIK Stars of Karting Series.

"By having the Light and Heavy guys on the track at the same time it not only provides everyone with the opportunity to gain more track time but will also a great spectacle for everyone watching."

Competitors in the TaG category will contest one six-minute qualifying session followed by three heat races, a pre-final and final across the weekend.

There are 40 spots only on the grid for the TaG class, which will be allocated to the first 40 entries, so to avoid disappointment get your entries in early to be a part of the Australia’s elite karting series.
