Visser On Pole For KZ1 Debut

press release

After her excellent results in the European KZ2 Championship in 2010, this season Beiske Visser has made her debut in the KZ1 category, where she will find most of the best karting drivers in the world, and especially the most experienced. This context did not worry the young Dutch driver, who immediately marked her territory by proving to be the fastest in timed qualifying at the Winter Cup. On the Lonato circuit (Italy), she then performed a very promising race.

Beitske-Visser-KZ2.jpgThe Winter Cup gave Beitske Visser the opportunity to cross swords with the top level drivers she will meet throughout the year. At just 16 (she will celebrate her birthday next 10th March), this Dutch girl has already reached the elite of karting and it is with her usual fierce determination that she will try to achieve the goals she has set for herself. "My goal is to win on every occasion, regardless of the level of the race", she warns. It must be said that Beitske has become a much more mature person during her 2010 season in KZ2 and that she has conquered several victories as well as the title of the WSK Master Series.

In Lonato, her weekend started in the best of ways with a great pole position, thanks to her smooth and effective driving. She knew that her opponents - almost all males - were not going to do her any favours, but her determination led her to fight tooth and nail. "In the three heats, I only committed a small mistake, a not too perfect start. Otherwise, I fought hard in the lead pack, with a best lap during the race and finally a 4th place for the pre-final. It was then that a few raindrops began to fall. I was hit by a driver during the first laps and I lost many places. Luckily enough, we had opted for the right tyres, the slicks, so I was able to recover a lot of ground and finished 10th. In the final, I was again pushed by a driver. I lost some time and despite a few passes, I could not do better than 16th".

But this Winter Cup has shown that Beitske Visser will have to be reckoned with in KZ1 in 2011...

With Praga and Tec-Sav
For 2011, Beitske Visser has decided to remain loyal to the Intrepid team. She has also been chosen to defend the colours of Praga, a new line of chassis manufactured by the Italian company with a special attention to detail that will definitely not go unnoticed. As for the motorisation, she will continue to use the famous TMs of French engine preparer Tec-Sav.

On All Fronts

For Beitske Visser, the Winter Cup - the traditional opening meeting of the international season - was just the beginning of a very busy racing calendar. At the wheel of her Intrepid-TM, she will enter the World Cup, the European Championship, the different WSK events (Euro Series, Master Series and Champions Cup), the Monaco Cup, the Supernationals in Las Vegas, as well as the Andrea Margutti Trophy
