Promotional Hostesses and Giveaways Add to CIK Entertainment

Pacific Kartsport (PKS) and Harrington Doyle Racing (HDR), two of Yatala’s Kart Racing Teams who compete nationally in the Australian CIK Stars of Karting Series, were proud to add further to the event atmosphere at Round 1 by providing both Promotional Hostesses and plenty of Giveaways.

Promotional Hostesses, Lauren, representing Motul, Entegy & Pacific Kartsport and Sabrina, representing Inox, Orrcon Steel and Harrington Doyle Corporate Resources not only handed out free product samples from Motul and Inox to competitors, but also stickers, advertising brochures, driver photo cards, plastic toy Karts, temporary Motul tattoos and helium filled balloons to children and other spectators.

Lauren & Sabrina also undertook much of the weekend’s promotions work for the CIK Stars of Karting Series itself, participating in Official Series Driver photographs, Driver on Track Grid Introductions and all Podium presentations throughout the weekend.  The girls worked a minimum of 6 hours each day also distributing CIK Stars of Karting Event Programs throughout the crowd, in addition to handing out many AKA “How to Get into Karting” brochures.

“We came up with the concept last year initially from a rather selfish perspective of increasing the exposure for our own Team Partners”, said HDR Team Manager Craig Doyle.  “We knew the girls would create more photo opportunities for our brands and would help us show a value add back to our Team Partners.  Whilst that’s certainly happened, it’s actually worked out to be even much bigger and better than that, as the girls have become immediate ambassadors for our sport as a whole.  Monica and Sabrina were so warmly received and respected by both the drivers and the Series that we wanted to do it again this year if we could.”

With all 3 of the HDR Promotional Hostesses being Karters themselves, it was felt that they would ideally best explain the racing and different classes to newcomers and spectators visiting CIK Stars of Karting for the first time.  Armed with good quality event programmes and AKA brochures, they have had the time to engage spectators in conversation and answer any immediate questions.  Where there has been an interest to know more, the girls have had the AKA brochures as further direct referral mechanism.

As the girls also knew many of the competitors, it was also felt by HDR that they would have 100’s of personal security guards watching out for their safety and well being throughout the weekends.  This has clearly been the case and the CIK Karters should be exceptionally proud of looking out for the girls.

“It’s really been a positive experience for all involved and the girls have certainly added to the professionalism of the Rounds”, said Doyle.  “In 2011, Lauren joined Sabrina & Monica as part of the Promotional Hostess Team to represent our new Partners Motul, Entegy & Pacific Kartsport.  Unfortunately Monica wasn’t able to make Round 1 due to other work commitments, but Lauren & Sabrina covered all of the work tremendously this weekend, looking beautiful as always.  I’ve actually come to rely on Sabrina quite heavily for managing this work and she shines through for me each and every time.”

There is an obvious cost to having the Promotional Hostesses at every round (i.e. travel, car hire, accommodation, product giveaways & payment for their time) so it may not always be possible for them to be at every CIK Stars of Karting Round in 2011, but they certainly add another dimension of professionalism to the Event when they are at the Track.  HDR is currently working with its’ Team Partners to establish a business case and ongoing budget for the girls to be present at more Rounds in 2011.
