KAOS Karting Supporting Two Major Junior Eventspress release Young karters and their families are being given the opportunity to compete at two highly regarded junior events over the coming months. The competitive, yet focused on family fun events are highlights on the junior racing calendar. On 2nd and 3rd April the Cooloola Coast Kart Club will play host to the Cooloola Junior Gold and over 29 April – 1 May, Young Guns will return for its 11th year at Lismore Kart Club. Premium online and local retailer, KAOS Karting is backing both events in support of the “Generation Next” of kartsport. “We believe it is vitally important to support the sport at its grassroots as well as through to top-level racing,” said Ken Bensley of KAOS Karting. “Providing competitive avenues for youngsters to increase their skills, whilst having fun in a family atmosphere, is hugely important and has proven to develop the talents of the world’s best motorsport athletes.” “Events like Young Guns and Cooloola Junior Gold are the proven breeding ground for future CIK Stars of Karting and Pro Tour kart events, as well as other forms of motorsport, from Formula Ford through to V8’s.” “KAOS Karting recognises the importance of supporting the clubs to take the events to the next level and that includes providing major prize support, event advice and as for Young Guns, the development of a must-have Event Tee.” The Young Guns event tee has been specifically designed by industry partner, Rampant Clothing, www.rampantriders.com, and is one of the ways the event plans to step up from previous years. It is anticipated that the Tees will be extremely well accepted by the competitors and will continue to promote the annual event.
The KAOS Karting Young Guns Titles at Lismore Kart Club will also reward participants with Black Plates, Trophies for 1st to 5th, prizes, Arrow Chassis and Yamaha engine giveaways and a special incentive for JMAX competitors. A Formula Ford Driver Development Day with Anglo-Australian Motorsports will be offered to ‘Best in Class’ JMAX driver. ‘Best in Class’ criteria is calculated as most number of ‘Leading Laps’ throughout the event (Heats, Pre-Final and Final) and in the event of a tie the finishing position in the Final will count.
