Kip Back For The Nationals

press release

Kip Foster will now race at the AKA sprint kart nationals being held in Western Australia at the end of April.

A multiple national champion, Foster had originally decided that the pressure of racing himself plus looking after his son and wife and the huge Kartforce customer base was too much.

However, he has re-evaluated the situation and many people will be looking forward to his duals with some of Australia’s finest karters.

“There are a number of reasons why I changed my mind” said Foster. “As a family we agreed that rather than run multiple classes each, like we did in the State titles with disastrous results, we would focus on one key event each. So I will race Clubman Heavy, my son Scott Junior clubman, and wife Kerry, Senior National. This is far more manageable.

"I was also overwhelmed by the support from my customers who all wanted to see me race and there was even a number of people on the Kartbook forum, many of whom I had never even met, who encourage me to re-think my decision.

"The final point was how we coped at this weekends Shakedown meeting which went very smoothly with all of us running in the top three most of the weekend with very little stress.”

Foster's decision will see the premier Clubman Heavy class come alive  and you can guarantee the crowds will flock to the fence to see what will be the toughest race of the year.
