Sodi Kart's Pro Tour Report

press release

Pro Tour 3 in Port Macquarie saw the current generation Sodi chassis (that features the new Tekneex Tube Technology) claiming significant success on the East Coast with brand ambassador David Whitmore securing 3rd place on the podium in Rotax Light.

David wasn’t the only Sodi driver to achieve good results. DD2 drivers Mark Flood & Brent Coghlan also finished in the top 10.

Mark took his second trophy home from a Pro Tour, after coming 2nd at Dubbo at the last Pro Tour round. He stepped up to the podium in Port to take 3rd place and Brent Coghlan was the highest finishing DD2 Masters driver in 10th place, netting him some valuable Rotax Rankings points.

David’s weekend of racing was unbelievable considering it was his first outing in the new chassis and his first meeting after a hiatus from karting. What’s more, it was done using nothing but the factory standard chassis settings.

In varying track conditions the Sodi chassis displayed blistering pace and David won 2 out of three heats on Saturday.

Benefitting from its unique tube technology the Sodi chassis is proving to be fast, strong and ultra reliable. Each chassis features fully engineered components including 25mm front stubs with adjustable caster/camber, footrest, auto adjustable 4 piston calipers eliminating the need for shims, floating disc, 50mm axle, torsion bars, twin bolt hubs, and adjustable exhaust mount.

“I can’t believe this kart,” said David “straight out of the box - seriously - and I couldn’t get it any better. I am wrapped.”
