Double Duty For Simon Hodge

press release

This weekend will see non-stop motorsport for Simon Hodge as he makes the trip to Winton Motor Raceway in Victoria tomorrow to test for Team BRM in the Mygale Formula Ford, ahead of a late Friday night dash back to Adelaide to compete in the SA State Closed Kart Titles.

After already successfully recording 2 test days at Mallala Motorsport Park in the Formula Ford, Simon has leaped at the opportunity to visit the popular testing track for so many of the National teams, in an effort to bring him up to speed with what he will face in the future with the Australian Formula Ford Championship.

Hodge said ahead of the test, “It’s a great opportunity to work with the team again at a new track; I look forward to the challenge of learning the technical Winton circuit, it should be a great experience.”

Following the test, Simon will then return to Adelaide, and head to Monarto Raceway for the 2011 SA State Closed Kart Titles where he will campaign in three individual categories; Rotax Light, Clubman Light and Sportsman 125 Light.

“Although it will be a busy weekend, I feel confident in my preparation and we hope for some good results at the state championships” said Hodge.

“It’s a credit to Paul Dankowski at PD Kartcraft for his hard work and dedication in making the weekend possible for us.”

The SA State Closed Kart Titles will take place at Monarto Raceway this weekend, May 14 and 15.
