The CF Racing Team returned to action this past weekend. The Brian Stewart Racing Karting Championship (BSRKC) headed to Point Pelee Karting in Leamington, Ontario for round two and Cory Cacciavillani welcomed some of Ontario's best to his home track. Competing in five separate classes, the Leamington teenager scored three dominating victories along with another podium finish.

The three-day event kicked off with a full day of practice on Friday. Saturday featured Cacciavillani competing in three classes: Honda Senior Medium, TaG Senior and F125 Shifter, the latter being his first regional competition.

Kicking off his day in Honda Senior Medium, Cory was unstoppable. First, Cory qualified on the pole position before sweeping the day's events with an impressive 13 second victory.

Next up, Cory continued his streak taking another pole position, this time in TaG Senior. In yet another unstoppable day of events, Cacciavillani swept the prefinal and final, this time lapping all but three karts, en route to a six second win. Joining him on the podium would be fellow CF Racing driver Brett Rickeard.

Cory's final class of the day would be F125 Shifter. In his first regional event in the 6-speed shifter kart class, he found himself deep in a class of talent. Qualifying in fifth place, he would hold his position through the prefinal. However, a tough standing-start would see Cory fall down the order early in the race. Working his hardest to catch back up, he would settle with a seventh place result.

"Saturday was a lot of fun," smiled the Leamington teenager. "It was a very busy day, but I am very happy earning two wins. In shifter, I knew it was going to be tough, but it was a lot of fun."

Sunday featured Cory competing in only two classes: Senior Lite and Senior Heavy. Adding two more pole positions to his weekend total, Cory would start from the front row for the third and fourth time on the weekend.

Finishing second in the Senior Lite prefinal, Cacciavillani sought after his third victory of the weekend. The 20-lap race featured plenty of action up front, with five drivers having a shot at victory. However this time, Cory would have to settle with a third place result.

Earning his third prefinal victory in Senior Heavy, Cory looked determined to score his third victory of the weekend after narrowly losing in Senior Lite. Taking control early, Cacciaviallni only surrendered the lead twice throughout the 20-lap race before taking the lead for good on the final lap to take the victory.

"Overall it was a great weekend," continued Cacciavillani. "Three victories and a third isn't too bad at all.  I must thank my mechanics and mentors JP Frydrychowicz and Adam Zaremba. None of my success would be possible without their knowledge and guidance.  Also, I would like to thank Remp Racing for their support of my four-cycle program."
