Micro / Mini MAX Grand Festival

IKD has received the following information about a special event for Micro & Mini Max drivers (7 to 12 year olds) to be held in Portugal late August.
The event is open to anyone interested in participating and is a very attractive proposal. Basically, pay $1500 Euro entry fee (Approx $2050 Australian) this includes 2 x sets of tyres for the event and you get to keep the engine at the conclusion of the event. Micro & Mini Max engines are able to be upgraded to Junior Max specification without a problem for further use in Australia.

The Grand festival will be hosted on a track a lot of you remember for sure - the KARTODROMO Viana in Viana do Castelo in Portugal (hosted the "wettest" Grand finals ever in 2007, but don´t be afraid rain in summer is very rare

The positive side of the venue change is that the Portugese Federation accepts international drivers with their national drivers license as well as entrant license (no visa or release letter needed) according to article 18 of Sporting International Code of CIK -
Means the event is open to all the world!
This event should be a start event to show the customers (fathers..) that we can also offer cadet/mini drivers an international playfield where kids can compete and show their skills on an international level.
To ensure top quality at race organisation as well as scrutineering we have invited Nigel Edwards as the race director as well as Paul Klaassen as technical scrutineer who will support the very experienced local team. And Rotax will be well represented there as well.
