Sébastien Loeb Adds To Star Studded List For Bercy Masters

Seven times World Rally Champion Sébastien Loeb has confirmed he will compete in the ERDF Kart Masters in Bercy, Paris, on December 10-11.

The Frenchman joins other confirmed drivers such as Kimi Räikkönen, Sébastien Bourdais, David Coulthard, Sébastien Ogier and Jean-Eric Vergne.

"I perfectly remember the show in Bercy at the end of each year and I'm delighted to take part this year" Loeb said. "I tested Bercy's electric kart and the feelings are awesome.

"I have never really raced a kart in competition. I did one race recently but only for fun. I often ran with 125cc gearbox karts, with front braking system, which is more natural for me. Karts with rear braking system are a little bit harder to drive but I think it is possible to adapt quickly.

"I would say that the electric engine was a good surprise to me. It is true that I had no idea about the sensations and the fact that there is no engine sound. I thought that I would be more surprised but finally, the sound, the motion of the kart... etc give a speed feeling.

"The most important for me is to really feel the foot throttle. This is an engine with a lot of torque, really more than the atmospheric kart engines, which gives good feeling. The electric kart allows a very strong acceleration and a good slide control, it is really nice."

In addition to the top 20 “star” drivers, the ERDF Masters Kart will have 10 of the best international kart
drivers invited by the French Motor Sports Federation (FFSA).
