Cross-Over Bridge For PFI Track

The PFI kart track in the UK is undergoing track extension works with the installation of a cross over bridge to create a figure-8 effect.

While not new for a kart track (one of the early Rotax World Finals ran on such a configuration in South Africa) the layout is rather unique.

Tons of earth have been moved over the past 6 months to create the new track, bridge and surrounding banking in preparation for the KF2 British Championship to be held at the venue in October. The circuit will close, possibly for around one week, prior to the championships to finish off the extension.
