SAFETY WARNING: 25mm Wheel Hub Bearings
DPE has issued an important saefety warning regarding 25mm wheel hub bearings fitted to some Arrow and Monaco karts.

We have been notified of some failures of the 25mm front wheel bearings (W52H) fitted to wheel hubs WHFD65-25 and WHFD80-25. These wheel hubs are fitted to some models of Arrow and Monaco karts but primarily the X1-E model (photos below show the two wheel hubs we refer to).
Note this problem only applies to front wheel hubs with 25mm bearings and if either the kart, wheel hubs or individual bearing were purchased in 2011.
A bearing failure could result in the wheel coming off the kart or loss of control both of which are a safety hazard. Therefore if you did purchase any of these products in 2011, it is essential that you check the bearings after each and every track session to ensure they are not damaged in any way. If the bearings do not run smoothly and feel “notchy “ at all then you must not use them.
If when checking the bearings you consider they may not be ok, then please contact either dpe or the dealer where you purchased them from and we will arrange replacements free of charge. DPE can be contacted by phoning (03)8558 4000 or sales@dpeng.com.au
You must not use the kart/ wheelhub /bearing until the potentially faulty ones have been replaced. If you know of other people with these karts, wheelhubs or bearings, you must pass this information onto them.
