3 x Red Plates For The McLellan Boys

The McLellan boys had a great weekend in their Arrow karts at Numurkah's Australasian Kart Titles on the weekend.

Matthew completed the weekend the winner of two red plates in JMAX and Junior National Heavy and Liam won a red plate in Junior National Light and third in JMAX.

Matthew in the JMAX class qualified first, despite having a constant battle with his brother Liam throughout the whole weekend.  He won the first heat, however Liam then won the second heat but Matthew then managed to win the pre-final.  In the final race Matthew lead convincingly from start to finish to claim his first red plate, sharing the podium with  Liam who finished third.

In Junior National Heavy Matthew qualified first once again. Despite having some tough heats he once again still managed to finish first in the pre-final.  In the final race Matthew and Damon Strongman in their Arrow karts work together to get a clear break from the rest of the field.The last three laps of the final the lead changed several times, however Matthew finished with a convincing win to claim his second red plate for the weekend.

In Junior National Light Liam qualified 12th which was the start of a couple of very tough heats. Liam managed to start the pre-final in 5th position managing to pass Jordan Boys in the last lap to finish first.

In the final Liam drove away from the field early in the race, never to look like he would be challanged finishing first and claiming a red plate.
